The confirmation masses 2018 took place on July 18th and July 19th and were wonderful occasions – it was lovely for the catechists and families and friends of the candidates to see them all dressed so smartly: the church looked beautiful, the music was great, the Bishop’s homily was inspiring and the Holy Spirit was present throughout!
We would ask you to keep all of the candidates in your prayers as they continue on their faith journey: may their confirmation be the beginning of something wonderful!
Members of our hard-working Youth Ministry Team with Bishop Declan and Canon John Confirmation Mass 19/7/18.
The confirmation programme for 2018 candidates continues in September with 4 final sessions – these sessions are to discuss and reflect on our Christian faith journey; now I am confirmed what difference will it make to my life and how can I live out God’s plan for me? For dates of these sessions and other confirmation events, check the calendar here.
The presentation of certificates and confirmation photographs will take place at a Thanksgiving mass at 5.30pm on Sunday 21st October once the programme is complete.
We will be opening this enrolment page soon for Confirmation 2019, so if you are looking to enrol for next year’s programme, do keep an eye on this website and look out for announcements in the weekly newsletter.
If you would like to get to know us before registering for 2019, we would be happy to welcome you to any of the ‘open’ Youth Ministry events, such as Film Nights – all events are advertised on the Confirmation Calendar, just follow the link at the top of this page!
The programme this year is a great mixture of sessions & events including film nights, sports evenings, a day retreat, adoration, a reconciliation service, regular small groups starting after Easter. Confirmation Masses are in July.
We look forward to meeting you!
