We want everyone involved in Youth Ministry activities and sessions, groups and events to feel welcome, at home and safe. Holy Rood Youth Ministry Team members and helpers will be following diocesan safeguarding guidelines and we expect young people, supported by their parents/ carers to look at and follow our code of conduct. Parents / carers will also need to have completed a YM consent form which can be downloaded here. To find out who the Safeguarding Representatives are at Holy Rood, click here, or to find out more about the Clifton Diocese Safeguarding Policy, follow the links at the Diocesan Website here.

1,000 Tin Can Challenge
On the first weekend of Advent, 1-2nd December, we held a 1000 Tin Can Challenge – we wanted to collect 1,000 tins of food to donate to three charities who minister to the homeless in Swindon. Well, we smashed the target and collected 1,174 tins! A Big ‘Thank You’ to all those who were involved either by donating or by organising and helping. The tins have now been distributed to the charities, who, needless to say, were very grateful.
The Holy Rood Youth Ministry Team is keen to provide a varied programme of events, some regular and others one-off. If you have a suggestion for an event, please speak to a member of the team or contact us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will be happy to discuss it.
All events currently scheduled are shown on our Autumn Planner and are advertised on the church calendar. For more information about any of these events, please contact the Youth Ministry Team. PLEASE NOTE A CORRECTION TO THE PLANNER – ADVENT PENITENTIAL SERVICE IS THURSDAY 13/12/18 NOT SATURDAY 15/12/18 AS ADVERTISED.
The next Synergy Sports session is on Friday 25th January at 7pm. There is a small charge of £2 for the session – have a fun evening playing sports, joining in lively worship, and listening to a great speaker – take a friend along too!
